My Mini Haul & Review of Maybelline The Nudes Palette

The absence of stores, such as Sephora, near Kolkata has always been a bane for bong beauties.  It is thus very hard to get branded eye shadow palettes that are found at such stores. Today its time to review some decent drug store eye shadow palettes that you could get your hands on.
Recently I bought two eye shadow palettes from Nykaa and Flipkart and trust me they are pretty decent eye shadow palettes, not like the famous brands at Sephoras, but decent palettes to make you happy enough.

So let's get on to the review!

Maybelline The Nudes<3<3<3:

Let me begin by saying that there is quite a hype around this palette. This twelve-color eye shadow palette contains a combination of both matte and shimmery shades, from soft beige to high shine metallic. Its' rare for a drug store palette, where usually eye shadows come in singles, duos or quads, to have an affordable palette with TWELVE shades.

Packaging:

At first glance, this palette is pretty sleek. The plastic black casing is solid and it would easily slip into your makeup bag or purse. Each eye shadow pan is also pretty generous, so I have a good feeling that this is going to last me a while!

 Price

899(INR) in Indian make-up stores(I got it on sale as  654(INR))

How are they Pigmented:

I had heard mixed reviews about the performance of this palette, so I went in not expecting too much.  At first touch, the shadows felt very stiff on my fingertips, but once I applied the shades to my eyelids, I was pleasantly surprised by just how pigmented these shades are.

Like every palette, there are some hit and miss shades (for example, I wish the dark grey and black shades were more vibrant), but out of the twelve, nine are pretty good pigmented. My Favourites are the bronze (fourth on the top row) and the chocolaty brown (fourth on the bottom row). Five of the eye shadows are matte as well, oh I love matte ones and they are pretty damn pigmented..:D

How long they will go with your eyes:

Once applied to the eyes, these shadows are pretty impressive. I have tried some of the colors and I have never felt any creasing or smudging effect. Without eye shadow base it can go up to 3 to 4 hours but with primer or base it can be even longer as 5 to 6 hours.I would suggest you to use eye shadow base or primer as it will increase the longevity of the eye shadows on the lids..

Verdict

Overall its a decent palette with some of  pretty pigmented colors. As a whole, I think it would be a great choice for beginners like me or those looking for a more affordable eyeshadow set.

So beauties, Go get it!!!!!:-D
