Review on theBalm Meet Matt(e) Nude Eyeshadow Palette

Hello lovelies!!!

How are you all are doing? Today I will be reviewing a neutral eyeshadow palette from theBalm and that is Meet Matt(e) Nude Palette. As I am not very comfortable with heavy eye shadows and dark eye makeup, I always prefer neutral palettes which are very easy to work with. My friends who are very much into nude- neutral eye makeups, are surely going to love it.

Let’s start with the review.

theBalm Says:

You’ve met Matt(e), now it’s time to Meet Matt(e) Nude…nude eyeshadows that is. Because size matt(e)rs, there are nine larger Matt(e)s showing their true colors in nude hues. As a matt(e)r of fact, this palette is versatile enough to wear day and night, as liners and as all-over colors…the whole 9 yards! With so many guys to choose from, you’re sure to find your perfect shade, no matt(e)r what!

Price:

$42.00 . I got it for 94(AED) from Dubai

9 different shades with names:

Matt Johnson - dark grey
Matt Garcia - medium brown with a slight red undertone
Matt Malloy - white
Matt Rosen - warm medium brown
Matt Wood - cool dark brown
Matt Singh - light peachy pink nude
Matt Abdul - medium greyish taupe
Matt Lombardi - light warm beige
Matt Hung - medium taupe with a purple undertone

My take on theBalm Meet Matt(e) Nude Eyeshadow palette:

The product comes in a sturdy cardboard paper packaging with magnetic closure. It contains 9 different super-sized eye shadow pans in a variety of neutral colors and each eye shadow named after a guy with a large mirror inside . There is an external cardboard sleeve outside the palette and the blue eyed Matt smiling on the cover. Overall the packaging is very sleek, compact but one of the eye shadow pan broke completely during travelling, My bad!!!. The palette has nice color variations with cool to warm tones, which is pretty basic and easy to go for, in everyday wear. The texture is decently smooth, creamy with minimum fall out and is easy to blend. These eye shadows are much pigmented, mostly the dark shades but for darker complexions it need multiple layering for some light shades. I would suggest a primer or a base to be put underneath for better color payoff. I couldn’t find any chalkiness or dryness and the fall out is also very less. Wear time is decent, without a primer it can goes up to 4 to 5 hours on my oily lids and after that it begins to fade.

Pros:

·         Silky, cream smooth texture

·         Sturdy sleek  fun packaging with large mirror

·         Variety of neutrals with cool to warm tones

·         Good pigmentation

·         Decent staying power

·         Minimal fall out

·         No dryness or chalkiness

·         Comes in generous size which makes it last long

Cons:

·         I couldn’t find any

Verdict:

Overall I liked the eyeshadow palette, it is very sturdy sleek packaging with a large mirror inside which makes it very convenient to use. It has a large variety of neutral shades with good pigmentation and minimal fall out and a pretty good staying power. If you are looking for some great matte neutrals than this palette is the perfect choice.

  1. I love this neutral palette. you can use it to contour as well it has so many brown options plus such huge size of eyeshadows. I think there were cheaper options if you had bought online like feelnuique.com, beautybay.com etc. Great review and my heart goes out to the broken eye shadow. Two minutes silence. :)
