Saree Draping workshop and Blogger's Meet by TRIVENI

Hi Lovely ladies,

Hope you all are doing very good. Last Sunday all Kolkata bloggers were invited to an wonderful event organised by TRIVENI at Oxford BookStore Park street. For your information, in 1985 Mr. Giridhar Saraf moved to Surat, the rapidly growing textile hub in India, to setup Sakambari Silk Mills, Sakambari manufactured synthetic sarees under the brand name 'Triveni Sarees'. Their collection is available all over India through a network of more than 100 wholesalers.TRIVENI setup TriveniSarees.com in 2011 to take their innovative collections worldwide. They interacted directly with the customers, listened to the each and every customer needs and accordingly added Salwar Suits, Lehenga Cholis, Lehenga Sarees, Kurtis, Jewellery, Cotton and Silk Sarees to their collection, they later became Triveni Ethnics (www.triveniethnics.com). They always love sarees over other ethnic wears and give prioritise making them. It was a great learning session on everything about sarees. We were introduced to this marvelous brand, their activities in the ethnic industries, the philosophy and design principles they maintain while making their ethnic wear most importantly the sarees, overall it was a great informative session. You guys can check out their website,  they store a wide selection of fabulous sarees and other ethnic wears. The most interesting and fun part was meeting the Ms Dolly Jain who is the Limca record holder in draping sarees in 125 styles and the jury member of Triveni Dare2Drape contest. She has received recognition for being the fastest Saree draper and can drape a Saree in a record time period of 18.5 seconds. It was an unforgettable workshop that was conducted by Ms. Dolly Jain. We got a hands on experiences about saree draping, and she was a sweet heart to reply and explain each and every queries very patiently. We were given a chance to pick sarees from their huge collection and learned a lot many tricks and method to manage almost every kind of fabrics. Feeling blessed to be a part of this great event and workshop.

These are some glimpses of the workshop:-)

That's all for today lovelies!!
