Lakme 9 to 5 Weightless Matte Mousse Lip and Cheek Color Review, Swatches

Hi Friends!

How you all are doing my lovely ladies? Wish you all a very Happy Merry Christmas and a fantastic new year which is coming ahead. Hope you are all set to usher in the festive season. Now coming to today’s review topic which is on Lakme 9 to 5 Weightless Matte Mousse Lip and Cheek Color, I have got 5 shades from the range and I have been trying all these beautiful shades from neutral to vibrant ones for past few weeks. These are probably the best quality matte lippies I have tried so far.

Now let’s start with the detailed review

What the product claims:

Say 'no' to touch ups with this perfect for office wear, Lakme 9 to 5 weightless mousse matte lip and cheek colour. Lakme’s first lip and cheek colour comes in a mousse texture that’s weightless, giving a powdery matte finish to lips and a soft blush to your cheeks. Lakme 9 to 5 weightless mousse matte lip and cheer colour is ideal for daily office wear adding charm and lasting long. Its dual benefit makes it a high functional product for the busy and on the go working woman. Its looks and feels weightless because of the light weight formula. Since it’s a mousse texture, it absorbs well giving an intense colour that long-lasting. The applicator brush glides on seamlessly making is east to apply and giving a smooth and even finish. There are 10 vibrant shades designed especially for both lips and cheeks.

My Take on the product:

L to R : Pink Plush, Rose Touch, Fuchsia Suede, Plum Feather, Blush Velvet

The product comes in a sleek, light rosy tint color tube packaging with a rose gold applicator on the top. The duo foot applicator is leaf shaped which is very easy to use. There is a plastic thin film on the bottom of the tube where the shade name is mentioned. The tube is further covered with a rose gold cardboard box packaging where all the details about the product are printed. I feel it is difficult to choose the colors as there is no color indicator in the tube except the transparent thin film which carries the shade details on the bottom of the package. Now coming to the texture part, this is creamy and smooth, lighter than NYX soft matte lip creams. Feels super light and airy on my lips, almost feels like no lipstick on lipsJ. It settles down into complete matte finish look into your lips immediately after application. It takes few seconds to get dry so while applying as a blush, you need to blend it very quickly otherwise it will not be easy to work with and after applying on cheeks it simply gives powdery matte finish effect , so here you need to work little fast.  It doesn’t dry out my lips but I have a problem only with one shade i.e “Pink Plush”, don’t know why it tends to crumble after few hours of application and makes my lips very dry. My suggestion would be, do moisturize and exfoliate your lips before applying any matte lippies. It has the similar fainted vanilla scent like NYX soft matte lip creams I guess.  These lippies are insanely pigmented I must say, only two swipes needed to achieve the opaque finish with full coverage. These stay upto 6 to 7 hours easily on my lips and I am totally surprised to see that these lippies can survive meals too with very little fading, they don’t crumble on my lips at all and I don’t feel any flakiness after few hours of application, totally comfortable. I have got 5 shades from the range and they are from neutral to vibrant shades,
following are the shades:
Pink Plush, Rose Touch, Fuchsia Suede, Plum Feather, Blush Velvet

Pros:

·         Very light and smooth texture, does not feel heavy on lips
·         Stays for upto 6 to 7 hours which is really long wearing
·         Great pigmentation, two swipes are enough for an opaque finish with full coverage
·         Beautiful shades to choose from
·         Not extremely matte, doesn’t make lips drying at all
·         Duo foot applicator is bendable and easy to use
·         Not very expensive

Cons:

·         I have a problem with ‘Pink Plush’ shade, it tends to crumble and makes my lips dry after sometime of application

Verdict:

Overall these lippies are truly great in terms of quality and price, I really love how these lippies feel so light on my lips without making my lips too drying. I would totally recommend these lippies to all my matte lover beauties to try for.

My take on the product:

The product comes in a hard plastic transparent bottle with product ingredients list, description and other information in the outside labeling. The bottle is covered with a beautifully printed cardboard paper box. It has a pump dispenser as a cap which is very easy to use and it doesn’t lead to any product wastage. Now coming to the fragrance which is really very soothing, it has a combination aroma of lavender which I like a lot and the cooling mint scent which can give the perfect relaxation. The shower gel is runny in consistency and absolutely transparent looking. I use it with a loofah, it lathers pretty well and requires little amount of product for full body application. It washes off easily without leaving any greasy film behind and cleanses skin well. It has the anti-bacterial property as it contains lavender oil and gives you the refreshing feeling after every wash you take in the morning.

Pros:

·         100% natural and handmade
·         Contains no parabens, no sulphates or any harsh chemicals
·         Perfect consistency for a shower gel
·         Nice soothing lavender, minty fragrance which gives you the fresh feeling and cooling effect too
·         Doesn’t make skin dehydrated after application though I like to apply body moisturizer after taking bath
·         It washes off easily without leaving any greasiness behind
·         Cleanses skin very well
·         Cruelty free

Cons:

·         I couldn’t find any!

Verdict:

Overall this is a great budget friendly shower gel with a refreshing and soothing aroma of lavender and mint, perfect gel runny consistency for a shower gel, enriched with all the goodness of natural ingredients and no presence of any chemicals and lavender oil acts as an anti-bacterial agent which is obviously an added benefit. I would totally recommend this shower gel to all my friends to try for.

My First Outfit Post

Hello Lovely Ladies!

Hope you all are doing great friends! Well I am doing pretty good too, I had a great time with family at my sister’s wedding ceremony last week, and it was a much awaited family function for us as we all were desperately waiting for these days to come. J You guys can check out my Facebook Click Here  and Instagram Click Here stories for the same. Now today what I am going to share is not at all about any product review or something, I was willing to do an outfit post for long and here it comes! J

This is going to be my first outfit post and trust me I am very excited to share it with you guys. Though I am a shopping junkie, I am not much fond of buying too many clothes like as cosmetics, handbags and other stuffs. I do generally shop casual cotton clothes because feeling comfortable from inside out is the most important thing I keep in my mind while choosing my clothes. I prefer casual outfits and that’s the reason I am not a dressy kind of girl you know, I mostly buy clothes which I can wear at my office(I don’t have any dress code for my office to follow) as well as to hang around with friends and family. I do prefer cotton kurtas, maxi dresses, jeans, palazzos or same.

Here I wore a simple cotton coral maxi dress which is a front open one with buttons. As it is front open, you can adjust how much do you like to keep it open from your knees or above point and according to that you can adjust your buttons. I combined this dress with ankle length white leggings and kept my buttons opened from above the knee length. There is a loose belt along with the dress to add a simple yet trendy kind of look which I liked a lot.

I am a handbag collector you know, I have almost every single colored handbags which I can match up with my clothes. I got this cute peachy coral shade Lavie handbag from amazon when there was a sale going on few months back.

I am 5’3” tall, I love wearing wedges which I feel more comfortable than heels, so there is a pair of simple yet stylish coral reddish wedges to complete my look.:-)

Outfit Details:

Maxi dress from Max fashion
Ankle length leggings from local market
Wedges from Inc.5
Lavie Handbag

I like to keep my makeup simple at any day time event, so here are the

Makeup Details:

1.       The Body Shop Vitamin C Daily Moisturizer with SPF 30
2.       Colorbar BB Cream
3.       Maybelline Fit me Compact
4.       Sephora Colorful blush
5.       Sugar Cosmetics ‘Scarlet O-Hara’ on lips
6.       Maybelline Color Sensational mascara
7.       Lakme Eyeconic Kajal

Hope you guys enjoyed this post. Do let me know your views about this Outfit look. J

Monthly Makeup Haul Post

Hi Friends!

How are you all doing guys?? Well I am doing really great, as winter approaching,  enjoying this lovely weather to the fullest. J Hope you guys have checked my Instagram stories about the Nykaa Beauty Bar Event and the M&G with the one and only beautiful bong Debasree at Taj Bengal!!! Such a great time we had there, in case u have missed all those fun stories just Click here .  So today I am here with a haul post and without wasting anymore time, lets jump into the hauling now! :-)

Lakme Absolute Illuminating Foundation:

Well this foundation has been in my wishlist for long and because it has the shimmer particles in it, I was little confused and somehow I restricted myself from buying it, but my cousin sister’s wedding is in the coming week, so thought of getting it because illuminating foundation can be good option for parties or any occasions , got this foundation in shade ‘Natural Flare’.

Lakme Absolute Illuminating Shimmer Brick:

This product looks absolutely beautiful, I am in love with the entire packaging of this product! I swatched it one or two times and I am really happy to see the decent enough pigmentation of it. cant wait to give a full detailed review on it. :-)

Lakme 9 to 5 Weightless Matte Mousse Lip & Cheek Color:

I have got 5 from this range, they are having beautiful shades from light to vibrant, light weighted formula, simply great texture and yes I am going to grab the other shades too.

The shades I have got:

·         Plum Feather
·         Blush Velvet
·         Pink Plush
·         Rose Touch
·         Fuchsia Suede

Lakme Eyeconic Kajal in ‘Deep Black’:

I was running out of the old one so bought this and yes I have tried many kajals so far from affordable to high end brand but needless to say this is the best kajal I have ever used. So “back up rakhna to banta hi hain!!!” ( need to keep the back up of it)

Colorbar Perfect Match BB Beauty balm:

I have tried The Body Shop vitamin E BB cream, but the problem with the product is, I have got the ‘Medium’ shade which is a wrong match to my skin tone and makes me look darker L , so got this Colorbar BB cream which I have found the perfect match for my skintone , having SPF 20 in it and paraben free too!

Faces Glam On Perfect Noir Eyeliner:

I have heard some really good reviews about this eyeliner, though I haven’t tried it yet but I will surely post a review on this product once I start using it.

Nykaa Nail Enamel and Matte Lacquer:

I have a really bad habit of chewing on my nails, but somehow I have managed to grow them up because of my cousin sister’s wedding, so I am gonna flaunt my nails with these pretty nail paints
So that’s all about my haul post today! Hope you guys enjoyed it J
